The remote control, viewed from the point of human history, has been in our society for a short time. Nevertheless, we see its advantages in virtually every aspect of our lives – driving a car, opening any type of automatic gate. What remote controls do we distinguish?

• Infrared – They work thanks to the LED diode mounted in the remote control, whose task is to emit infrared waves.
• Radio – They work thanks to the installed radio transmitter with the frequency of 433 MHz and 868.35 MHz.
• Ultrasonic – technology used until the 1980s, is now coming back into favor. They work as a sound emitter, with a frequency so high that a person cannot hear them.

History of remote controls

How were they actually created? What was the reason? Of course, like most technologies – for the military. The first remote controls were used in the 1930s. They were invented by Soviet scientists, they operated on the principle of radio waves. However, this is not the only solution found in history books. German soldiers used remote controls connected to the so-called “Goliath” or light carriers of explosives. After the war, the inventors began to use the remote control for various devices to help in everyday life, including gate motors.
